BBVA ha informado que ha completado la adaptación de su parque de terminales instalado en comercios (TPVs) al estándar de seguridad EMV para el pago con tarjetas.
A 30 de junio de 2010, el banco tiene un parque de 104.633 terminales instalados en un total de 87.056 comercios. Durante el primer semestre, la facturación en comercios intermediada por BBVA ascendió a 5.318 millones de euros, con un crecimiento del 3% sobre el mismo periodo de 2009.
Este proceso gratuito para el comercio, tenía como fecha límite para su implementación el 31 de diciembre de 2010 por la normativa SEPA, por lo que la entidad se ha adelantado.
Además, BBVA informó que a partir de los primeros días de septiembre, renovará la ‘Tarifa Plana para TPV’, la primera tarifa plana del mercado a través de cuatro tarifas diferentes, que incluye una cuota fija mensual donde se incluyen todos los costes del TPV.
A cambio de esa cuota mensual, que va desde los 10 a los 60 euros, dependiendo de un límite de facturación anual del comercio, el cliente disfruta de las siguientes ventajas:
- Facturación a través del TPV BBVA sin ningún coste hasta un determinado límite de facturación (en función del bono contratado)
- Cuotas gratuitas los dos primeros meses para los clientes nuevos
- Mantenimiento gratuito del TPV y con un compromiso de reparación y/o sustitución en caso de avería en menos de 48 horas
- Compromiso tecnológico. La tecnología más moderna, incluyendo los TPVs GPRS (TPV Móvil) con firma digital
- Gratuidad de las comunicaciones en el caso de TPV Móvil
